Viva Nova

The highlight of VIBGYOR Viva, the personality contest, is the most coveted event of Viva. This stage gives students from Grades 9 to 12 a chance to wow the audience and brings forth their personality and confidence.

The winners of this prestigious title - Boy and Girl will win a super prize of Rs. 30000/- each. The Runners Up pair shall receive Rs. 20000/- each.


  • PARTICIPANT: Individual Student
  • DURATION FOR AUDITIONS: Max. 3 Minutes (Talent round).
  • CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION: Students from Grade 9 –12
  • Age Criteria: 14-17 years
  • Height: 5 Feet and Above for girls and boys
  • Entry Fee: Rs. 300/- only
  • Cash Prize:Rs. 30000/- Winner of the Viva Nova Boy and Viva Nova Girl) AND Rs. 20000/- (Each for the Runners Up – Boy and Girl).


Finalists: Participants from Bengaluru, Kolhapur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, Surat and Vadodara will go through three Elimination rounds namely: 

  • Audition Round 1
  • Audition Round 2
  • Knockout Round

The qualifying contestants from the Knockout Round will compete at the Grand Finale. 

1. Auditions

MEET THE JUDGES: Participants will be judged by a panel of judges on the following parameters:

  • Personality, Poise and Confidence,
  • Clarity (Speech & Thought) Creativity and Presentation
  • And overall quality of interaction with the judges

RAMP WALK: Students will be judged on:

  • Attire, Originality and Overall Style

TALENT ROUND: Candidates will be given 4 minutes (1 minute introduction +3 minute Talent round)  each to introduce themselves and portray their talents. Students will be judged on:

  • Talent & Creativity

2. Knockout Round


DURATION: 45 Minutes

The 7 Boys and Girls will then be asked a question by the judges. This round will be held a day prior to the Grand Finale.

Participants will interact with the judges in an informal setting where they will be asked questions. Participants will be attired in Western Formals.


DURATION: 3 Minutes per performance

Candidates will be given 4 minutes (1 minute introduction +3 minute Talent round)  each to introduce themselves and portray their talents. Participants can showcase their talents such as singing, dancing, mimicry, oration, playing a musical instrument etc. Revealing and offensive outfits will lead to immediate disqualification.

Participants will be scored for the Photo Shoot Round. Details of this Round will be shared by our city event coordinators after audition round 2.

3. Grand Finale


All contestants will walk the ramp in accordance to the Theme and Dress Code provided.



  • The participating contestants can represent Schools, Academies or Institutes and there is no limit on the number of participants from each.
  • Participants can submit their registration forms at any VIBGYOR School they wish to participate at, in their respective city.
  • A copy of the birth certificate or a bonafide certificate from the school along with a photo ID proof must be submitted with the registration form.
  • Theme will be communicated by the first week of December. Strict adherence to the theme and dress code will be considered for the Final scores.
  • Participants may register online. Entry forms can also be downloaded from . Forms should be duly filled, stamped and signed by the parent or guardian. Participants are requested to submit the registration form along with their latest individual passport size photograph by the submission date mentioned.
  • Students registering online must submit the documents mentioned in Point 3 at the designated audition centres on or before the audition.
  • Forms without the entry fee will not be accepted. Entry fee is Non Refundable.
  • If selected for the Knockout Round, finalists are required to submit their minus track/back up/instrumental music in a CD or on a pendrive by the following timelines:
  • Vadodara-16 September,2017
  • Surat- 25 September, 2017
  • Bengaluru- 6 November, 2017
  • Lucknow- 6 November, 2017
  • Kolhapur-25 November, 2017
  • Pune- 4 December, 2017
  • Mumbai - 8 December, 2017
  • Participants can submit their minus track/back up/instrumental music via email at . All entries sent via email must have the following details:
  • City Name
  • Name of the Participant
  • Competition names
  • Song names
  • Contact number
  • If tracks are sent via email THE SUBJECT LINE MUST MENTION VIVA NOVA FINALIST. Entries will not be considered, without the subject line.

  • No changes will be accepted once the tracks are submitted.
  • Please note that participants may only make use of instruments such guitars/flutes/drums or any other back up prop so long as they may be playing or operating the same themselves. No back up artists for the same will be allowed. For e.g: a supporting drummer/guitarist will neither be provided nor allowed for any routine to be performed in the TalentRound. Only back up music CDs are permitted.
  • Participants should be modestly dressed. Vulgarity and obscenity in the form of dance costumes, moves and/or offensive lyrics will not be permitted. Violation of these rules will lead to immediate disqualification of the contestant.
  • Judges will have the final verdict to an act. No discussion or explanation will be entertained.
  • Finalists from all cities will be provided with travel, food and accommodation for the Grand Finale.
  • The Rules may be subject to change as per the discretion of the organizers.
